This view of Blenheim Street shows one of four Traditional Pattern street types.  The right-of-way is 20 metres (66') wide.  This street is an example of the narrow, curbless residential streets which were the rule in many of Vancouver's older neighbourhoods until recently.  Note the gravel shoulders for on-street parking.  Storm water is directed to storm inlets (one can be seen in the extreme lower left of the view) in soft swales beetween the gravel parking lane and the grass boulevard.  Parked cars tend to migrate as far into the grass as they are allowed.  In this case trees and poles provide almost adequate control.
