8th Avenue looking East:
30m (96') total distance building front to building front
20m (66') right-of-way.

This view is of 8th Avenue looking east.  Eighth and 7th streets are nearly identical.  The right-of-way is 20 metres (66') wide.  Note the absence of joint utility poles and lines on 8th street.  Homes on both sides of 8th street are serviced from rear lanes.  Parking is allowed on both sides of this 8.2 metre (27') wide street requiring drivers who meet head on to take turns or "cue" in this "cueing street".  Sidewalks are provided on both sides but attach to the curb.  Public right-of-way space that on other streets is given over to grass boulevards that separate parking lanes from the sidewalk is here given over to "front yard" space.  Residents are quick to lay claim to this space, marking their claim with hedges and fences.
