This aerial photograph illustrates the Traditional Pattern study site essentially as it exists today.  A simplified depiction  of the site infrastructure is superimposed.  Joint utility lines (aerial) are shown in a dashed yellow line; water lines are shown in a light blue line; combined storm and sanitary sewer lines are shown in a solid dark blue line with catchbasins indicated by small dark blue squares; property lines are shown in a dot-dashed red line; building front setbacks in a solid orange line; curbs in a solid purple line; sidewalks in a solid green line; and gravel shoulders in a dashed purple line.  Of the total site 49% is permeable surface of lawn, planting bed and gravel lanes; 27% of the site covered by dwelling, storage, and garage structures; and 24% is paved sidewalk and road.  Gravel lanes eliminate the need for paved driveways.
